A'Lelia Bundles--author, Emmy Award winning producer and former ABC News executive -- is Madam Walker's great-great-granddaughter and biographer. Her bestselling book, On Her Own Ground:  The Life and Times of Madam C. J. Walker , was a 2001 New York Times Notable Book. An engaging speaker, Ms. Bundles has appeared at dozens of conferences and institutions including Harvard University, the Library of Congress, London's City Hall, the Israeli Presidential Conference, the National Archives, the National Association of Women Business Owners and the Center on Philanthropy. She has appeared on NBC's Today, CBS's Sunday Morning, ABC's Good Morning America and NPR's All Things Considered. She currently is at work on a biography of her great-grandmother and namesake, A'Lelia Walker, a central figure of the Harlem Renaissance.
